With the slightly cooler evenings, we were in the mood for something light, but a little more substantial. Turning to my “favourites” list at www.finecooking.com, Black Cod With Pine Nuts, Tomatoes and Black Olives struck a cord.  Rich, hearty and tasty, it’s a snap to prepare, and with tomatoes coming into their season, the best of ingredients are readily to hand.

Juliska’s Berry & Thread pasta bowls in Ice Blue were a natural choice for the one-dish meal, complemented by the dinner plates in the same pattern in Whitewash.  I added Diana linens from Pottery Barn, a warm terra cotta pattern.  Aqua bubble glass water glasses and Juliska Graham pattern wine glasses were an easy addition.

Some daylilies from the garden added a fresh touch, and salt cellars from Vintage at Chirp provided that finishing detail.
