Happy New Year, dear readers! I hope 2018 is filled with Joy, Prosperity and Good Health for everyone.

As many of us do at the end of the year, I’ve been reflecting, and it occurred to me what a strange and multifaceted activity blogging is – everything from seeking inspiration (which for me involves long walks to consolidate ideas and receive flashes of insight), scouring the internet, opening and unpacking boxes (and disposing of all that cardboard…), washing tableware, choosing and arranging flowers, gathering groceries and cooking food, setting tables, photographing, photographing, photographing, mastering software to process pictures and run the blog site, and organizing and storing tableware. It’s quite astonishing how many different steps and kinds of activities are involved. I love some aspects more than others, but the most satisfying part is hearing from you, my readers, on what you’ve liked, the experiences you’ve had, your own collections, joys, frustrations, questions and comments. Thank you so much for joining me on this journey! It’s lovely to have such interested and involved fellow travellers.

Choosing a favourite table for each month of 2017 was a very pleasurable activity. I had a bit of trouble deciding on which to include; I was heavily influenced by the ones that you seemed to like the most, though there was a plethora in October. Perhaps the fall is when we all settle back to think about tablescapes, nest for the winter, and prepare for Thanksgiving and the Christmas season? Anyway, here we go, one for each month. I’ve added a link to the post beneath each picture.
