The Easter Bunny is planning a visit to our house this year and I want to make him welcome.
His Road Trip Natural Bunny friends are testing out a new sports car in anticipation of his arrival.
Bunny cars are the latest thing for Easter deliveries and should speed up the hippity-hoppity down the bunny trail. The car you see is last year’s model and is currently on sale. Pier 1 has a new model with flowers for 2019.
We’re all set for a delicious breakfast of bacon and waffles with raspberry compote and whipped cream. Little egg hunters also enjoy chocolate chips on their waffles. It’s Easter, you know, and chocolate is obligatory.
This little guy is guarding the baskets of eggs and jelly beans. Wait for breakfast, little ones! (though Nana has been known to turn a blind eye to eggs being munched before the oh-so-nutritious breakfast – what’s worse, chocolate chips on waffles or chocolate eggs?)
Off we go, into the wild blue yonder!!
Pasture Bunny salad plates from Pottery Barn are sitting on top of English Countryside dinner plates by Mikasa. The Dubost olivewood handled cutlery is from Sur la Table.
Green gingham napkins were from Pier 1 last year, and they’re held in grapevine napkin rings.

The small silver baskets were a gift from the kids many years ago, and I believe they came from Williams Sonoma.
The Natural Baby Bunnies are also from Pier 1.
I think this little scrunched up bunny is my favourite of the four plates. It looks like he’s counting something.
Plain old orange tulips in green raffia pots made a cheerful show.
This car is a blast. Do up your seatbelts everybody. It’s time to get going.

Dear Helen, Very pretty, and so nice to see an Easter table that is not overloaded with pink-and-yellow cutsiness (is that a word?). Green is so crisp and refreshing. Where are the juice tumblers? Fresh carrot juice mixed with OJ is required! Just don’t tell the kids about the carrots…
Funny, I was just gathering my green burlap to make those pot cozies. Those (wrapped around pots of whatever’s blooming) and white duck-feather wreaths will be the centrepiece. They will be one of the few Easter decorations I’ll be able to come up with after a hectic journey on Good Friday, with a checked bag packed with…you guessed it…china. My sister is sending a box of her cast-offs, including two settings of Worcester Dorene, She’ll throw in a set of Marghab 1000 Eyes and Alençon serviettes, some Sadek Imari, majolica fruits, and Worcester drab ware. Oh, my ears and whiskers–opening it will be like Christmas! I’m also dragging along a large Irish cut-glass Irish vase for the lilacs and tulips. Swiss airlines are very forgiving, luckily. The officials who examine my bags must think I’m insane. lol. Hope to see more ideas from you before then!

I just looked up Royal Worcester Dorene – what marvellous rich plums and lovely greens. Lots to work with there! Yummy. You’ve got a treasure trove to dig through. I brought a set of antique ironstone back from York one year in a third suitcase purchased to accommodate it; I spread the weight across three checked-in bags. The Air Canada check in person was very understanding and matter-of-factly slapped some “heavy” tags on the bags. We are indeed insane.

I love your Easter table…..especially since I am sitting here watching it snow yet again in the Seattle area……very unusual for us. It makes me feel like spring will eventually get here. What I am really enjoying is the clever little eggs and other candies that you have placed on the windowsills…that will be a hit with your grandchildren!
The only thing about the eggs on the windowsills is keeping the dogs away. Golden Retrievers will eat anything, and chocolate is NOT good for them. So we have to be vigilant. 🙂

oh goodness, this is SO CUTE!! I love the bunny car and the sweet bunny plates! And the tulip pots! I love it all, so much fun! There are so many cute bunny things in the stores this year, it’s hard not to be tempted!
It’s all very tempting! I’m trying to resist adding to the Easter hoard, but a couple of very cute bunnies have caught my eye…

I won’t even ask Glenn what he thinks of the bunny sports car. I think it’s adorable and such a great addition to an Easter bunny table. I’m sure the girls will be impressed with Nana’s decorating. Hope spring is around the corner – as the expression goes!
At least this vehicle doesn’t require fueld, insurance or repairs. lol.

Growing up, by best friend in 3rd grade had groovy hippie young parents. Her Dad really enjoyed kid stuff & holidays. He hid coins and bills in plastic Easter egg cups all over outdoors on their thick forest property. Each year one special egg had $100 bill in it. One year nobody found it. Ever. Never. Still an urban legend that’s is hidden in those woods. Her Dad liked to drink and forgot where he hid it.
