I was intrigued by the unusual colour combination in this antique ironstone dessert set from Country Dining Room Antiques.  The green is such a fresh shade, nicely complemented by the dark navy blue border and touches of pink.

The set came with 12 dessert plates, a footed compote and four square serving plates.  The slight grey/green undertone of the glaze works very well with the stark white of the modern Queen Anne by Pillivuyt dinner plate.

The wine glasses are antique Webb wheel-cut water goblets from Elise Abrams Antiques and the open salt cellars are from Vintage at Chirp.

Green grapes and very dark plums made a fresh, inexpensive centrepiece.
