I’m always on the prowl for tableware accessories and linens that coordinate with or complement my collection of ceramic and glassware. I’ve had the Fitz & Floyd pumpkin tureen for years, and last year I added Pottery Barn’s lovely white pumpkin salt & pepper containers.

While not usually a big fan of vibrant oranges and rusts, this year I was happy to find the strikingly patterned runner  shown above at Williams Sonoma.  Paired with plain pumpkin coloured linen napkins, the design coordinated beautifully with Spode’s Indian Red accent plates, a set comprising four different shapes and patterns.  Spode produces several sets of these type differently shaped plates in a number of colours.  They’re an inexpensive and very attractive way to liven up the table.
