It’s getting to that festive time of year, so I’ve pulled out my Christmas tableware. Changing over the kitchen is one of the first things I do with each new season. It takes a while, and yes, I could be described as somewhat batty, but it makes me happy.

We were having a couple over for a casual supper on a Friday night. The menu was fairly simple. Celeriac and Apple Soup, beef tenderloin with roasted fingerling potatoes, brussel sprouts with bacon and roasted squash. We finished up with tarte citron from our local bakery.

The red goblets are antique Venetian from Wisteria Antiques.  The clear goblets are a wheel cut glass from Elise Abrams Antiques.  The pewter plates are Emerson from Juliska and the red & white are Country Estate, also from Juliska. The flatware is Cupola from Williams Sonoma and the chargers and linens from Pottery Barn.
