I was enchanted by this antique Royal Worcester dessert service, particularly attracted to the unusual shade of blue. I call it Eau de Nil, others might arguably call it plain old Robins’ Egg Blue.  

Whatever its name, when I discovered the perfectly matching linens at Williams Sonoma, it sealed the deal. 

Hydrangeas abound right now, in every imaginable shade. I went with the simple white Annabelle variety, as the plates themselves provided more than enough visual interest.

The twelve plates each have a different central floral detail, and one of two versions of the decor around the shoulder of the plates.

The swirl pattern goblets are antique Venetian glass.  Both the plates and the glasses are from Elise Abrams Antiques. The simple gold and white underplates and the glass and gold chargers are modern, both from Pier 1.
