Enchanted Santa and Enchanted Snowman are two fun, whimsical patterns by artist Susan Winget and were produced by Certified International in 2005/2006. The vibrant colours and cheerful sketches are instantly appealing to children and adults alike.

Enchanted Santa has a zillion pattern pieces, from dinner plates through to cookie jars. I confined myself to four salad plates, which are generously sized at 8.25″.

Enchanted Snowman was produced at the same time, but it looks like the pattern was more limited. I got a set of four plates of each pattern on e-Bay for very reasonable prices at the beginning of the season.

Setting the table was a lot of fun.  A snowman cookie jar was a natural fit as centrepiece. He’s been part of our Christmas since the kids were tiny. Clear glass jars with vase fillers and candles from Pier 1 flank Mr. Snowman.

I used Pottery Barn Cambria dinner plates as the base, and then added Baronesse White dinner plates by Tirschenreuth, and topped them with the Enchanted salad plates.

Denver plaid napkins and napkin rings from Pottery Barn several years ago worked well in the setting.

Antique Venetian red goblets and Sarah’s Garden green water glasses made a nice combination. Until I looked up the link to those water glasses, I hadn’t realized how many pieces Wedgwood made for Sarah’s Garden. Good heavens!  It’s discontinued now, but there are a LOT of pieces to that set.

This little snowman salt & pepper set is from Pier !. I love the little sleigh they come in.

Enchanted indeed!

I’m sharing this post with Between Naps on the Porch.
