I’m always a sucker for beautiful birds on plates, and Toulouse Blue, a modern pattern by Fitz and Floyd had me from the get-go.
It’s a lovely spring theme, with nests, birds and butterflies. The blue background is soft and calm.
I also really like the “wooden” edge of the plate.
I styled the table with a burlap runner and twig nests from an online nursery supplier I found through Amazon.com. What did we used to do before Amazon? Trudge from store to store, I recall.

The glass napkin rings and “smoke blue” napkins are from Pottery barn several years ago.
The goblets are a recent find from Laurel Leaf Farms. They’re described as “smoke etched cut glass colonial couple, crystal twist stemware”. Likely Czech or Bohemian crystal. I got the seven larger goblets (one has a chip and was sold as such, but I can smooth that out with a delicate file). I liked them so much that I got the eight smaller goblets later. I believe the champagne cups are still available.
The Toulouse blue salad plates were an Amazon acquisition.
The dinner plates are whitewash Berry and Thread, and the flatware is also Berry and Thread, all by Juliska.
The tureen came from Costco (of all places), who also sells the complete dinnerware set.
It’s also available at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It comprises the decorated salad plates, and blue dinner plate, bowl and mug. There are other serving pieces in this pattern
If you’re interested in the pattern, be aware that Fitz and Floyd also offers Toulouse Green, which similar but not quite the same – more aqua, but I wouldn’t call it green. It’s easy to get them confused.
The birdhouse salt & pepper set is from Ballard Designs. They have the most wonderful table accessories.
This was a really enjoyable table to set. I loved it in the daylight, and even more at night when the candlelight cast a soft glow, enhancing the subdued nature of the tablescape.

I was surprised to find the plates were from Fitz and Floyd, and really liked the “wooden edge” on them. It went so well with the smokey glasses. And yes, the little birdhouse salt and pepper was a fun find. Aren’t spring tables the most fun to set?

Helen, you have so many beautiful tablescapes, but I think this is one of my favourites. I love the Toulouse plates, and the napkins are the perfect colour; what a great match. The napkin rings are adorable, as are the salt and pepper shakers (Ballard Designs is a dangerous place for me, lol). The whole table is just lovely. Happy Spring indeed, although there is still lots of snow here in Calgary. Another month, at least, I think…

We had a huge dumpof snow this week, too. NOT what I was hoping for. Sigh. Wet and really heavy. Oh well, we have an extra hour of light in the evening, so best not complain.

I love how you styled your tablescape. I recently purchased the collection also and bought the rooster too. The artistry is wonderful I just need to find placemats, napkins and napkin rings. Wonderful job!
