We are almost at the longest day of the year, the official arrival of summer. It seemed appropriate to break out the nautical tableware.
Lighthouse Harbor is an an older pattern by Sakura. I first discovered them while trolling Replacements, but they had no stock. I love the soft, misty tone of the pattern, as it reminds me strongly of foggy mornings in Cape Cod

There are four different salad plates. I was able to source a set of four and three more singles on eBay. I’m still on the lookout for the completing fourth, so I can have a setting for eight. They’re not easy to find. I’m quite intrigued by the dinner plate, but alas, have been unable to track any down. The old-world map on the shoulder of the plate is lovely.
This boat open salt by Pier 1 was a natural fit.
The wire ship centrepiece is from Pottery Barn several years ago, and it usually graces our mantlepiece at the Cape house. The “sails” move from side to side.
Who can resist dining outdoors when the weather is so inviting?
The runner is from Pier 1 last year and the napkins are from Pottery Barn several years ago. The galvanized chargers are from Pottery Barn this year. (an aside – Christmas Tree Shops in Cape Cod have a very similar charger at a fraction of the price for anyone interested). The dinner plate is Whitewash Berry & Thread by Juliska.
The Danieli pewter flatware and the Geometric wooden napkin ring are both from World Market.
I had help setting the table. “Lounge Lizard” Tigger is always happy to provide assistance, particularly if he think food in in the offing. That cat has the most unctuous, Dean Martin style personality…
Plain wine glasses and some bubble water glasses kept on with the very simple, summery theme.
The “rope” candle holders are actually ceramic, from Harvest of Barnstable. They go very well with the actual rope salt & pepper from Pier 1.

Very fun table. I love the blue linens and glassware. Very ‘beachy’. Those plates are almost to pretty to cover with food. I hope that you find your missing salad plate and dinner plates.
