Blue and White – I never get tired of the combination. And when it comes with birds, happiness follows.
The rich shades of blue and turquoise the Pier 1 plates is echoed in the cheerful tablecloth from Homegoods. It’s a little busier than my typical tablescape, so I stuck with plain white napkins and anchored the patterned salad plates on simple navy Pacifica dinner plates from Williams Sonoma.
The salad plates are a very nice size, with a discreet gold edging. The stylized birds are enchanting, reminding me a bit of Pennsylvania Dutch emblems.
Antique turquoise Venetian Glass rounded out the table alongside delicate Annabelle Hydrangea.
The flatware is Hammered from World Market.
My little blue bird open salt was chirping to be included.
What a gorgeous summer it has been! Here’s hoping the warm weather continues for a bit longer. I’m enjoying the garden so much, with its abundant blooms and fragrant scents. It makes setting tables a whole lot easier, and life a great deal more enjoyable.
I’m sharing this post with Between Naps on the Porch.
Beautiful blues for your fresco table. Love your centerpiece with your gorgeous blooms. Your hydrangea in the gardens look stunning.
I think hydrangea are likely the most useful, versatile flower going. Tons of volume, loads of colours and take very little maintenance. Thanks for stopping by đŸ™‚
I do love the blues too- this tablecloth is rich in color and I love how the pretty venetian stemware looks so wonderful with it. Those are such pretty and unique dishes- and the hydrangeas look perfect with everything! It has been a nice summer hasn’t it- and I’m still enjoying it.
You gotta love Homegoods for tablecloths. They have quite a variety, don’t they? Thanks so much for visiting and your wonderful comments. It makes my day đŸ™‚
This is stunning! What a beautiful table, set outside in the sun. Marvelous and I envy you – we’ve got fog almost all day, except for today when the sun finally came out around 2:00 p.m. (and we live in CA). Thanks for truly “making my day”.
Hi Margaret. Well, I think I would trade you a Canadian winter for a California one! đŸ™‚ I hope tomorrow is sunny and bright for you. We are supposed to get your fog and rain here in Cape Cod. Have a great weekend.
