More of a winter pattern than clearly identifiable Christmas tableware, Green Ball by 222 Fifth is attractive and versatile. The simple green and white design has something of a woodblock feel.
The dinner plate has a pretty scalloped edge and a scrolled triangular pattern in the white centre. Macy’s had full dinnerware sets on offer last year at some astonishingly low price; the pattern is still available on eBay, at Amazon and of course, Replacements.
I had a blast styling it with accessories from Home Sense and Pier 1.
These bicycles are actually picture holders, but I thought they’d work well as place card holders. The details are delightful, including a moss-filled basket of greenery on the handlebars and a tree strapped on the back fender.

The tartan tablecloth and blanket stitched napkins, are both HomeGoods/HomeSense this year. The tablecloth is a lovely, soft fabric, similar in feel to Viyella. It was so cozy I wanted to curl up in it rather than set the table with it.
Gold twisted Venetian goblets from Elise Abrams Antiques added a touch of glam.
I styled the table very simply, with minimal decor in the centre of the table. Pillar candles in Malta Lanterns from Pottery Barn, which I topped with some Frosted Foliage napkin rings from Pier 1 did the trick.
The little blown glass tree salt & peppers are Pier 1, this year.

It’s turned very chilly here in the Frozen North. We had our first blast of snow yesterday, so it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

You have an amazing flair for setting a beautiful table. You must have taken “table setting 101” and passed with flying colours. The dark green plates are complimented by the contrasting dark red tablecloth. I love all of your unique salt and pepper shakers. We’ll be having Thanksgiving dinner here in St Lucia with the family. I know the table setting will not be able to compete with yours. Oh well. Mid 80s here – enjoy the snow!

I saw the summer version of the bicycles, which were with flowers in the basket and the frame of the bike in turquoise. But I like these better, I think. I imagine they’ll get a lot of use!
