We’re coming up to the end of February, and spring beckons. The days are noticeably lighter and warm(ish) enough to tempt me outside to set a bright spring table.
With St Patrick’s Day around the corner, I wanted to try my hand at a suitably seasonal but hearty dish, Beef and Mushroom Raised Pie.
The crust is sturdy enough to stand upright (like a pork pie) but tender enough to melt in your mouth. The perfect centrepiece! I made a couple while I was at it—one for St Patrick’s Day with the shamrock crust.
And a plainer one, which I used for the centrepiece—I gave the Shamrock one to a neighbour. 🙂
Vintage Barlaston Green Leaf plates by Wedgwood added a festive touch without being too gimmicky.
The Matilda tablecloth is from Mrs Alice. The green and brown pattern makes an excellent background for so many settings.
I last used it in the Forest Foraging Table in the fall.
The sunshine was really bright, but it was too chilly to wait for a more mellow light later in the day.
Hurry up! We are a bit cold! This metal nest doesn’t provide much warmth.
Hang in – just a couple more shots.
Aaaand – we are done.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, all.
Beautiful table setting – very earthy and spring-like.
Thanks so much, Rachelle! Have a great week.
