The Easter Bunny approacheth.

And we’re ready to give him a great big welcome. With iced sugar cookies, baskets of treats and a whole fluffle of bunnies.

Bunny Hollow by Fitz and Floyd was manufactured from 1989 to 1993.

I’ve had the covered bowls for years and used them before on the Bunny Bowls table. The girl bunnyl…

And the naughty boy bunny, whose back end we see diving into the bowl.

He emerges on the underside of the lid.

The set inspired me to make some Sugar Cookies.

My daughter Kirsten gave me the pink and white crackle-glazed bunnies last year for Easter.

They fit right in!

Estelle salad and Baroness white dinner plates by Hutschenreuther frame the cookies. Both patterns are still active.

Easter is one of my very favourite holidays. It’s so hopeful, even if it arrives in advance of any spring weather.

I know in England, the lambs will be frolicking in the fields. While we are driving around, I keep a weather eye out for lambs that are close enough for us to photo. The Mums are warier, but the little ones come trotting up to see what we are all about.

Who can resist those little faces? Adorable.

Can’t wait for our next trip!

We came home to Ontario about a week ago and were greeted with piles of snow in which large boughs of white pine trees were buried. Successive storms of wet, heavy snow had snapped the boughs, and before they could be cleared, another dumping of snow arrived. What a mess… The temperatures are up into the high 40s now, and the snow is finally retreating. So a long, sunshine-filled walk with the dogs is on the menu today.

Happy Sunday, everyone!
