Blackberry Mojito

A colourful and flavourful twist on a refreshing minty classic.



  • 2 oz white rum
  • 2 oz club soda
  • 1/2 oz lime juice (about 1/2 a lime)
  • 67 mint leaves
  • 3 blackberries
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup (adjust as needed; berries vary greatly in their sweetness)
  • 1 c ice


  1. Muddle the lime juice, mint leaves, blackberries and simple syrup in a Boston shaker. Add the rum and ice and shake well (about 10 seconds).
  2. Pour the contents into a glass, top with two ounces of club soda and stir. You don’t need to strain the beverage, but may wish to let it settle for a couple of minutes before serving to allow the clear colour of the drink to emerge. Garnish with mint leaves and and a blackberry.
