I did NOT need another set of Christmas china.  I couldn’t resist the blandishments of a newsletter from Replacements.com, however, introducing Polar Party by Epoch.

Captivating, humorous and inexpensive, it won my my heart with the cheeky expressions on the faces of the polar bears, whales, seals and most importantly, penguins.

As you may know, Teddy (shown above in his monk outfit on a visit to England) is usually accompanied by his sidekick, Penny.  She became extremely excited upon seeing herself immortalized on a set of china.  We contented ourselves with dinner plates, side plates and some mugs – a breakfast set, really (she said, somewhat defensively).

I wonder if Epoch could be persuaded to rename it Penguin Party?
