I was looking for a fresh, lively look to reflect the gorgeous weather we have been having in the Cape these past few weeks. We have been entertaining out-of-town guests, and dining out is a bit problematic during the summer due to the throngs of people also enjoying the Cape, so we try to eat at home as often as possible.

Reaching for the New Moon linens I purchased from Williams Sonoma a couple of years ago on sale (btw – when Williams Sonoma do a sale, they REALLY know how to discount, so keep your eyes peeled).  I opted for simple white plates and large green goblets to pick up the main colour in the linens, and let the vivid pattern do the talking.

The weather cooperated and we enjoyed a lovely evening in the garden under the pergola.

The Malta lanterns and Beaded Gilt chargers are from Pottery Barn.  The cutlery is Berry and Thread by Juliska.  The white plates are Queen Anne Pillivuyt and the glasses were another heavily discounted item from years past, also from  Williams Sonoma.

Yeah, summer!  May you last many more weeks.
