Red is a very traditional Christmas colour, but it can become overwhelming quite quickly, hence I tend to use it in accent pieces, like glassware, napkins and chargers.
This Christmas I started with a white and gold theme, and added red pieces until the table looked festive and rich.
The red glasses are antique Venetian from Wisteria Antiques in Brewster, MA. The plates are a mixture of gilded Age pieces from Elise Abrams Antiques. The dinner plates are Royal Doulton, the salad and dessert plates are by Spode.

I had the napkins made from Chintz & Company in Victoria, B.C, an amazing shop. They have bolts of fabric from which you can choose, and I had several sets of napkins made at very reasonable prices. They also supplied the napkin rings, my go-to favourites for a Christmas table. The chargers are a catering set from Pottery Barn.
