Easter’s on its way! While I love the other holidays, there is something so hopeful about Easter. Renewal, springtime, the beginning of the warm season for us northerners. And porch weather! Yes.
This blue toile bunny pattern by Maxcera (which my auto correct insists on calling mascara), is an e-Bay find. Not many pieces were produced, and even fewer are available in the secondary market, but I was able to snag eight dinner plates and some quite delightful coffee mugs – generously sized with a really comfortable handle. Great for latte.
I’ve styled the table with what I call “denim blue” glasses, officially described as “Indigo” (same thing, really). They’re Trestle by Fitz and Floyd, and a wonderful bargain. Readily available in many places, including Bed, Bath & Beyond, and on the ubiquitous Amazon.com.
The linens are a burlap runner from a local nursery supply store and the napkins are Cece Striped Napkins by Birch Lane from Wayfair.com. The placemats are whitewashed rattan from Pier1, and the dinner plate beneath the bunny plate is taupe Cambrian from Pottery Barn, both from several years ago.
I incorporated my Campanula pewter and white porcelain serving pieces from Arte Italica, long discontinued, but delight to this day. Here are the little jam pots, a set of five containers on a tray. The lids sport little bunnies – very appropriate for the season.
- Lamb
- Bee on honey pot
- Bee and Lamb
- Bee
- Lamb
- Bunnies
There are several pieces in the series, including a small honey jar with a bee on the lid and a larger tureen featuring a lamb.
The centrepiece is a birchbark shallow box in which I’ve arranged tulips, candles, nests and small eggs. I had a lot of fun putting it together.
Is everyone getting excited for Easter?
I’m sharing this post with Between Naps on the Porch.
What a beautiful table! I am swooning over those gorgeous blue toile bunny plates. Everything looks absolutely perfect for a delightful Easter dinner!
Thanks Shannon! I love the expression on the buunny’s face.
Have a great weekend.
The table looks very put together, I like the blues of the bunnies and the glassware but my favorite parts of this one are the centerpiece and the covered porcelain pieces. The five jam pots first caught my eye. This past summer I found a chrome rack that held six small white covered pots. I bought it not having a clue what it was for but now I am going to use if for jams and jellies. I found it the week after I found the masala dabba so I was leaning to spices but jam makes much more sense. Fun table.
I like having a variety of jams from which to choose when we have a big breakfast. And the pewter covered ones are very versatile. Sometimes I just use one for hot mustard, or horseradish for lunches or dinners. Sounds like you got a great piece with the chrome rack and jars!
Where can I buy the maxcera bunny, please? Thanks
Nadia, the pattern is discontinued, so I purchased mine on eBay.
