I always think of this set as my “York Ironstone” because we picked it up in York, England on one of our jaunts. It’s a beautiful, sturdy set and I especially enjoy using the generously sized soup bowls for pasta, as we did here with our meal of Summer Squash “Carbonara”.
The base colour of the ceramic has a slightly grey tinge, and the very deep navy and amber contrast beautifully. This time I paired it with antique turquoise needle-cut goblets and modern amber water goblets.
The Pacifica navy dinner plates are a new pattern from Williams Sonoma, the placemats are from Pier One, and the lanterns are from Pottery Barn, all modern.
I’m sharing this post with Between Naps on the Porch.
