In early September, it was still hot enough for a family afternoon in and around the pool. With five granddaughters under five years of age, it gets its fair share of use in the summer and we were eager to enjoy the outdoors while the good weather lasted.
The dessert plates are a set from Pottery Barn from a couple of years ago. They feature four different stylized houses in lovely clear colours. The blue is especially appealing.
The set included a set of salt & pepper shakers. I couldn’t resist.
The dinner plates are Country Heritage from Villeroy and Boch (the pattern is discontinued, but can be obtained from Replacements from time to time. The goblets are Graham and the tumblers are Isabella both by Juliska (the green colour is discontinued, but you can still get Graham and Isabella in clear). The napkins are linen hemstitched, also from Pottery Barn and come in various colours.
After drying off wriggling little girls, we settled in for an early dinner.
I’m sharing this post with Between Naps on the Porch.
Love this! Absolutely gobsmacking. Assuming this is the adult table? Five little girls are elsewhere? Which makes sense to me. But if you do set a children’s table, would love to see pics some time. I know it won’t be the usual settings for kids! Cheers, Lynda
Funny you should mention the children’s table, Lynda. We have indeed begun putting the little ones at their own table as we’re just too big a crowd to get around one table any more. I’m about to post pictures of the Thanksgiving dinner we hosted a couple of weeks ago and I decorated a separate table for the small fry. Glad you’re enjoying the table settings! 🙂
