Happy Day-Before-Thanksgiving, everyone.

I have some exciting news: the Winter issue of Entertablement’s Quarterly is coming to Kindle in the next day or so, and I’ll update you with the link as soon as it becomes available. Update: Amazon was really speedy and it’s already available here.

Now, what does it contain? So, without further ado, here is the description:

In our second issue of Entertablement’s Seasonal Quarterly, we feature winter and Christmas tablescapes to inspire you, from classicly simple to seasonally elegant.

We visit Kedleston Hall, the country home of the Curzon family since 1150, as it’s all dressed up for Christmas. Join us in exploring this stunning 18th-century mansion with neoclassic interiors by Robert Adam.

The recipes take us from breakfast through evening entertaining. Plan to be Impromptu makes suggestions for your pantry, fridge and freezer to take you through the holiday season prepared for any occasion. Flexibility is key!

The Roasted Vegetable and Proscuitto Tart has become a family favourite, and don’t miss the Spiced Rosemary Old-Fashioned—it’ll be your adult beverage of choice this season. Decadent Desserts include an elegant Pear Tart with Salted Caramel and a Champ de Noel, aka Christmas Stump, an upright version of the classic Christmas log.

From our house to yours, we are wishing you all the joy of the holiday season.

Here are a couple of the tables: an Afternoon Tea and a cosy outdoor brunch.

Kedleston Hall is breathtaking. We saw it all decked out for the season during a trip to England to see the Christmas Markets in 2018; not only is the house itself lovely, but the occupants have a fascinating history. What a cast of characters!

Now, on to the food. Some of you asked for more vegetarian options, so we’ve included a White Bean Ragu served over spaghetti squash. It’s quick to prepare and flavourful.

While we love the Roasted Vegetable and Prosciutto tart just as it is, you can also leave out the prosciutto for a vegetarian option.

Of course, no holiday publication is complete without a showstopper dessert: Pear and Salted Caramel Tart.

I hope you find some inspiration and enjoy happy browsing!

To all my American readers, please have a joyful, peaceful (political-and-vaccination-discussion-free) Thanksgiving!
