During the summer months, it’s a real treat to have breakfast outside under the pergola, before the day gets too hot.

We’ve discovered wonderful croissants from Williams Sonoma, which are shipped frozen and packed in dry ice.  They come in regular and chocolate and are simply delicious.  The night before, take out as many as you’re planning to serve and let them defrost and rise on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.

Here they are shown with Oiseau Bleu earthenware from Gien, with coordinating dessert plates and square platter in the Oiseau Bleu Flowers and Oiseau Bleu Fruits patterns.  The glasses are Old Williamsburg in Deep Blue,  with Campagna accessories from Arte Italica and a glass Periton compote from Juliska.
